Mojito Reviewed by Bob, 2009-02-19 The Mojito drew it's first breath in Cuba. It is a combination of available, local ingredients that, built correctly, is a delicious trip to our inaccessible southern neighbor. A proper mojito: gently muddle 4-5 fresh mint leaves in a slender 10 oz(highball) glass. Squeeze and drop a lime (1/4 cut) into glass and spoon one heaping teaspoon of pure sugar cane granules. Add 2oz cane rum, stir with spoon, fill glass with ice and top with spritz of soda water. This may or may not be the true recipe for a mojito, but it's much, much closer than what you offer. A mixologist will appreciate an original and then modify it as his own. They will never offer theirs as the norm. If you wish to offer recipes for libations, respect the originals enough to tell your readers 'this is our recipe'!
Mojito Reviewed by Bob, 2009-02-19 You list your site as the 'Mixology guide', yet you only offer 'your' recipe for the mojito. Any true mixologist would offer the origonal recipe plus history, followed by his or her modified concoction. Give respect where it's due! Results 1 - 2 of 2 |
